How to prepare Radish paratha

Radish is having more water content and it is one of the very healthy vegetable. Radish is good for kidney problems. Mostly radishes are used in South Indian sambar. But most of the people doesn’t like radish. Paratha (Parota) making with radish stuffing is very tasty and very healthy also. It is Punjabi style recipe and it is not need any side dish or we can have with curd or raitha. I am serving with onion raitha. Come let’s prepare the tasty and healthy Radish paratha.

Basic information :

Preparation time : 30 Mins
Serve for : 3 Presons

Ingredients :

Wheat flour : 1 Cup
Radish : 1/4 Kg
Green chilly : 4 Nos
Ginger : Small piece
Salt : As per taste
Oil : 2 Tsp per paratha

Method :

Mix wheat flour with salt and 1 tsp of oil and add some water to make smooth dough and keep it aside for 15 minutes.

Grind green chilly and ginger as a semi paste consistency. Peel off the radishes and make as grated radish.

Fry the grated radish till the water goes from the radish and fry the ground paste or we can squeeze the water from the radish and add chilly ginger paste.

Make same sized balls with the wheat dough, spread the ball as chapathi and stuff the fried radish.

Fold the stuffed dough as triangle shape or as round.

Spread the dough with hand or chapathy roller gently with adding wheat flour dust.

Heat thawa and put spread dough and spread 1 tsp of oil in the sides and wait for 2 minutes.

Then turn the dough again spread 1 tsp of oil and wait for 2 minutes.

After baking both the sides, transfer to the serving dish and serve hot with onion raitha (pachadi).
For Pachadi, mix onion strings, chopped green chilies, curry leaves, grated coconut with curd, add salt, mix well and serve with the paratha.
