Wash the rice and moong dal well. Heat oil in pressure cooker, add pepper and cumin seeds.Add chopped ginger, curry leaves and fry.
Add washed rice and moong dal and fry a little. Add salt.
Now add water in 1:2 ratio, close the cooker lid and allow it for 2 whistles.
After 2 whistles, wait for 5 minutes. Heat ghee in a pan, add cashews and fry.
Mix the the fried cashews into the cooked pongal and transfer to the serving dish and serve hot with coconut chutney and sambar.Everyone try this tasty pongal and please send your valuable comments!….
