Kuzhalappam is one of the very tasty Kerala style snack item. This is prepared with fried rice flour with coconut and other ingredients. Mostly, this crispy snack is prepared by Christians in Kerala. Basic information :
Preparation time : 15 Mins
Cooking time : 5 Mins
Serve for : 5 Persons

Ingredients :

To grind :
Shredded coconut : 1/2 Bowl
Onion : 1/4 Bowl
Garlic : 4 Cloves
Cumin seeds : 1 Tsp
For Kuzhalappam :
Rice flour : 1 Bowl
Salt : To taste
Oil : For fry

Sesame seeds      :  1/2 Tsp

Chilly powder     :  1/2 Tsp
Method :
Fry the rice flour slightly without burning it.

Grind the grinding ingredients. Mix the ground paste with rice flour, black sesame seeds, chilly powder with salt and make as smooth dough.

Make lemon size balls in the dough and press it in a oil greased paper as disc. Roll the disc. make all the balls as rolled disc.

Heat oil in a pan, deep fry the rolled disc well.

After fried well, transfer to the serving plate and serve hot. We can preserve for 1 week.
