One of my favorite sea food is prawns. My self and my daughter like prawns very much. I got a chance to buy dried prawns. I made chutney powder in typical Kerala style. Wow!… What a taste.. It was an amazing combination with idli, dosa and with rice also. Hot rice with this chutney powder mixed with coconut oil… Great taste.. and we need nothing after that. We can make one time and store it in refrigerator, and we can use at any time. For making this powder, we have to dry fry all the ingredients, so that it can be used for long time. We need not add salt for this. If we need, we can add after taste it. Dried prawns is healthy for school going kids. It is having Vitamins, minerals, calcium, zinc and less calories. Dry fry the dried prawns till it gets crispy. Keep it aside.Same kadai, fry red chilies, grated coconut, garlic, shallots(small onions), small round of tamarind. Fry till the coconut gets golden brown.Mix the fried prawns, take away from the flame, keep it in room temperature to cool down. (We can add curry leaves also).In a blender, grind all the fried ingredients according to your taste with fine powder or coarse powder.
