Raw banana fry \ Pallipalayam style vazhaikai poriyal \ Simple raw banana poriyal

We usually prepare Chicken in Pallipalayam style. Pallipalayam chicken is very famous in Tamil Nadu. For vegetarian method, I tried with raw banana. Pallipalayam raw banana fry is very tasty and easy to prepare also. In short time, we can prepare this recipe very tasty. We need not to add any masala powders except pepper powder and turmeric powder. For spicy, we are adding red chilies, on hole or break. We can add pepper powder if we need more spicy. We have to add sambar onions called shallots as equal quantity to the main ingredient raw banana.  I used coconut oil for tempering. Also I added shredded coconut in tempering to giving more taste. Method :

Peel off, wash and cut the raw banana as cubes.


In a kadai, add banana cubes, chopped onions, garlic, red chilies and curry leaves.


Place the kadai in low flame, adding turmeric powder and salt. Add little water and cook till the raw banana cooked.


Heat coconut oil, add mustard seeds and cumin seeds. When the seeds spluttered, add shredded coconut and curry leaves.


Add the tempering into the raw banana.


Add pepper powder and mix. The poriyal is ready to serve hot with rice as side dish.
