In South India, we all used to prepare normal dosa, adai dosa, masala dosa and all. Today, I made tomato dosa at home. Everyone liked it and it’s taste also very delicious. It is very healthy breakfast. If we prepare for kids, all kids will definitely like it.
For normal dosa, we need to make the batter to foam. But for tomato dosa, we need not wait for foaming. We can prepare dosa, as soon as we prepared the batter. It is so simple and easy and morning time we can grind and prepare instantly. For tomato dosa, coconut chutney is the best side dish. We can use sambar also for side dish. In mixer grinder, take tomatoes, red chilies, cumin seeds and grind as paste.
Rinse the raw rice and soak for 1 hour. After soaked well, grind the rice. While grinding the rice, add ground tomato paste. After the batter comes in dosa batter consistency, transfer the batter into the container.
Add finely chopped and fried onions, coconut and required salt to taste.
Heat dosa tava, pour the batter as dosa. Spread oil in the edges. Leave it for 3 minutes in medium flame. Turn the dosa with spatula for other side cooking.
After the dosa cooked on both sides, take out from the tava, serve hot with coconut chutney.
