I’m also a homemaker and I usually try different dishes for my hubby and my daughter. But some times, I feel lazy in cooking. In that kind of times, I always keep ready with some ready made pastes or chutney powders. I stored puliyogare  paste, Dry Prawn chutney powder, Schezwan chutney for fried rice or noodles. My hubby and myself went to an Andhra style restaurant one day. I tasted parupu podi with ghee mixing with hot rice. Wow!.. It was amazing taste and spicy. I liked that taste very much and my hubby also liked it. He want me to prepare and store at home. The next day itself, I checked in some of the cooking blogs. In some of the blogs, they added coriander seeds. My hubby do not like the coriander seed smell. So I tried in my own way and it came very well. So nice taste and I added garlic and Toordal (Thuvramparupu) with roated gram(Pottukadalai). My kid also likes this taste and she is having as chutney powder for idly and dosa also. Method :

Keep ready with all your ingredients.parupu-podi-9Heat kadai and spray little oil. Start fry all the ingredients one by one.parupu-podi-8If we fry all the items separately, it will fry evenly without burnt.parupu-podi-11 Fry one by one except hing or asefoetida (kayam).parupu-podi-12After fried all the ingredients, make it cool down. Add hing and salt and grind as fine powder.parupu-podiLet it be cool down. Store in a air tight container for any time use.
