Basunthi-4Basundi or Basunthi is one of the tasty Indian dessert sweet. It is fat thick milk with saffron and cardamon flavor decorated with chopped dry fruits. In North India, this is called as rabri or rabdi served with Ras malai or Serves as Bread basundi. But it is very tasty when we have as basundi with chopped dry fruits like pista, badam cashews. We can prepare as a kulfi by freezing in a kulfi mold or in a mud kulfi pot. Some people will make it with condensed milk. I made it only with milk. This is amazing taste that every body in my loved it. My hubby liked it very much and he appreciated me for preparing this yummy dessert. Method:

Boil the milk in a bowl.  When the milk is boiling and thickening, add sugar in it.BasundiBoil it more and more. Stir it occasionally. When the milk thickens, add saffron soaked milk and mix it.
