Potato pulaoPuloa is a tasty, easy one pot rice recipe. I tried this yummy rice recipe with all time favorite potato and capsicum. I tried this puloa with baby potatoes. We can also use normal potatoes and only as the main ingredient. But for making more tasty and I’m adding capsicum.  As baby potatoes will take little longer time to cook, I cooked the potato before adding in pulao. And also for making puloa, we used to prepare in basmathi rice only. As basmathi rice will cook quickly, we have to boil the potatoes separately first. Very simple recipe with the great taste. Method:

Wash and boil the baby potatoes. After the potatoes boiled, peel off and add salt and chilly powder.Potato pulaoSoak the basmathi rice for 30 minutes.Heat oil and ghee in a pressure cooker and add cinnamon, cardamon, cloves, star anas and bay leaf. Add chopped onion and curry leaves. Saute till onions turn golden brown.Potato pulaoAdd ginger garlic paste and saute. Add cooked and marinated potatoes.Potato pulaoCut the capsicum in dices and add.Potato pulaoAdd chopped mint and coriander leaves and curd. Mix well.Potato pulaoMix the soaked rice.Potato pulaoAdd water in 1:1 and a 1/2. Close the cooker lid and leave it for 1 whistle.
