Biriyani is all time favorite dishes for almost all the people. We are all used to prepare chicken, mutton, veg, mushroom Biriyani in different method like normal, Hyderabadi dum and also Ambur styles. Today, I prepared Prawns Biriyani with fresh white prawns. We can also use shrimps. For making more tasty, I cooked this Biriyani with fresh, homemade coconut milk. For this amazing dish, I am using jeera rice (Jeerahasamba) instead of basmathi rice.It gives the Biriyani nice aroma and great taste. Easy Biriyani recipe, very nice and rich in taste. The prawns will cook quickly so, need not cook the prawns long time. Also, if we cook prawns long time, it would turn rubbery. I very much glad to share this nice recipe with you all. Wash the prawns well and marinate with turmeric powder, chilly powder, ginger garlic paste and 2 drops of lemon juice.Blend mint leaves, coriander leaves, ginger, garlic, green chilly as a fine paste. Grind grated coconut with warm water and extract the milk 2-3 times to take fresh coconut milk.Heat oil or ghee in a pressure pan, add cinnamon, cardamon, cloves,star anas, bay leaf.Slice onions with curry leaves and saute till the onion turns golden brown.Mix ground green paste and saute.Chop tomato, add and stir it till the tomato smashes.Add marinated prawns and stir.Wash the jeera rice and mix with the prawns.Add fresh coconut milk in 1:2 ratio.Close the pan with the lid and wait for pressure release. After pressure release, keep low flame and put weight. In low flame, allow it to cook for 20 minutes. After 20 minutes of cooking, wait for pressure release and oped the lid.
