My guests also ring me and ask the recipe. Today, I wanted to different and easy method to prepare the tasty sea food. And I tried as a thokku is also called semi gravy. This taste was amazing. My hubby liked this type of thokku very much. I used sambar powder in this thokku. We can also use only chilly powder also. But adding sambar masala powder makes this curry a different level of taste. I very much happy to share this recipe to you all. Clean and wash the prawns well. Heat oil in a kadai, add cumin seeds. After the seeds pops, add chopped small onions. Saute till the onion turns golden brown.Add ginger garlic paste.After the onions turns golden brown, add chopped tomatoes and saute till the tomatoes gets mash.Add washed prawns.Add turmeric powder, sambar masala powder, salt and saute. Without adding water close the prawns with the lid.After 5 -10 minutes of cooking open the lid and stir it slowly. The water will come out from the prawns. Cook till the required consistency came.If we want dry, fry till the water evaporates. Otherwise, we can switch off the flame when the correct consistency.
