Whenever I’m feeling bored in evening time, I used to make some snacks for my kid and my hubby. Today, I tried fried diamond cut cakes. I still remember in my childhood days, my father used to buy this yummy diamond cake for me and my sister. We likes this sweet biscuits very much. This is very easy to prepare and taste also very nice. We need very less ingredients for making this yummy cut cakes. I rolled this maida dough in half inch thicker and cut the edges before making diamond pieces. Try this cut diamond cakes in one cloudy evening with hot tea and enjoy with your family members. Let us see, how to prepare the tasty easy fried diamond cake or fried maida biscuits.

Method :

In a mixing bowl, take maida, powdered sugar, pinch of salt, pinch of baking soda with 2 teaspoon of ghee.Mix well with warm water to make soft dough. If we add more ghee or butter, the cakes will be very soft instead of crispy. Cover the dough with the white cloth for minimum 5 minutes.After 5 minutes, kneed the dough, make equal parts. Spread the ball with roller in half inch thicker.Cut the edges to cut diamond pieces.Cut medium sized diamond in the spread sheet.Heat oil in a kadai, deep fry the cut diamond pieces.After golden brown color comes in all the sides, take out from the oil and transfer to the serving plate.Serve the fried cut cakes with hot tea and enjoy the evening.
