Idly Kebab…Kebab Idly.. Kebab in idlies… We are all used to prepare a different kind of kebab using chicken, fish and also in vegetables like veg Seekh
kebab. This time, I’m going to prepare a different kebab variety by using idlies. My daughter likes chicken kebab, very much. She always asks me
to prepare chicken kebab. Also, when we are going for any restaurants, she will order chicken kebab. Usually I don’t like my daughter to have a
lot of chicken. For avoiding chicken, I tried her favorite kebab recipe in mini idlies. She loved this dish and she wants me to prepare for her
snack box. First, I prepared mini idlies, then I mixed with the kebab masala with curd. For making chicken kebabs, we used to soak the chicken
for at least 2-3 hours. But for idly kebab, no need to wait for a long time, because already idly is soft and spongy. After mixing with the
masala, it is more than enough to keep in freezer for 3-5 minutes. All the kids will surely inspire this lovely recipe Kebab idly. Let us make

Fist of all, for making this kabab, we need Idly batter. For making batter, we need to soak rice and urad dal in below measures for minimum 1 Hour.
Steam rice : 1 cup
Raw rice : 1/2 cup
Idly rice : 1 1/2 cupid
Urad deal : 1/4 cup
Dry methy : 2 Tsp
Rinse the rice and dal and grind as a idly batter and keep it for minimum 8 hours for foaming. After getting foam, it is ready to make idlies.
I’m preparing this yummy kebab with mini idlies. Greece ghee or oil in the mini idly plate and pour the batter with the spoon and steam it. After 5-10 minutes of steaming, separate the idlies from the plate.In a mixing bowl, mix 2 tsp of curd with turmeric powder, chilly powder, fennel powder, garam masala powder and salt.Marinate the idlies in the curd mix and keep it in freezer for 3-5 minutes.Heat oil in a kadai, deep fry the marinated idlies evenly in all sides. It will take 2-3 minutes.When the idly getting golden brown, takeout from the oil and arrange it in the skewers. We can garnish with the grated cheese.
